An innovative cooperative model for the Master Degree Project of Architecture. Overcoming the traditional system.

This paper is part of a educational innovative reaserch project that is proposing a cooperative process-and-product model-based for MDP. The model is developed in three stages, from collaborative learning action groups to indivual project. How new technologies can promote an active and healthy city. Digital platform to identify areas of informal sport practise in the city of Malaga

La investigación realizada se ha llevado a cabo en el marco de la Cátedra Tecnologías Emergentes para la Ciudadanía, Red de Cátedras Estratégicas del Vicerrectorado de Proyectos Estratégicos, Universidad de Málaga, y el Polo Digital, Ayuntamiento de Málaga.In recent years the urban public space has become the largest casual sports infrastructure in cities and suburbs. WHO establishes a direct relationship between the Active Healthy City, social cohesion of communities and public space. This approach provides a framework for research and work on the design of the city and urban space as support for this sport practice. Moreover, new technologies provide an opportunity to promote the sport in the city. “Malaga Activa” digital platform project is an initiative that wants to promote the informal sport practice on the urban public space (outside the regulated sports facilities) and healthy living in the neighborhoods of the city of Malaga. This paper presents the results of the first phase of the project identifying the active sport areas -those in which physical and casual sport activities take place-. It also includes a methodology and a performance test of the created digital platform, as well as an assessment of the experience and possible improvements to be incorporated in the successive phases of the project.Universidad de Málaga. A near zero consumption building as an urban acupuncture for a vertical slum. A case study in the city of Malaga, Spain

Vertical slum is defined as a particularly vulnerable height building, with serious problems of functionality, safety and habitability. Venezuela’s Tower of David is a famous example. Vertical slums are associated with an important level of physical degradation, coupled with a precarious socioeconomic situation of its occupants. Their inability to create a community for proper and mandatory maintenance increases their physical deterioration. The abandonment of the original owners is replaced by a system of occupation and illegal activities. In many cases, with an interest in maintaining the building in a state of precariousness, which annuls any attempt to rehabilitate it Facing this situation, the intervention is proposed through an urban acupuncture project, understood as a project of expropriation and physical rehabilitation of the building, associated to a project of social rehabilitation in a disadvantaged environment. It is about creating a hybrid building associated with four objectives 1- Create a hybrid building with a mixed offer of social and housing services: sheltered housing for seniors, residence and accommodation for young entrepreneurs. The idea of a social condenser is related to studies of the hybrid building such as the Downtown Athletic Club in New York, or the Rokade Tower and Maartenshof residence (Groningen, The Netherlands). 2- Incorporate the sustainability parameters directed to a building almost zero. 3- Incorporate a model of provision of housing services, managed by the municipality, but with the possibility of incorporating NGOs 4- Design a social rehabilitation project that facilitates the creation of a web of social-based companies or cooperatives that fosters entrepreneurship, and that can actively participate in the rehabilitation and maintenance of the neighborhood itself. This paper applies these principles to a building in Malaga as a case study and 10 strategies are developed and analysed in regards to its physical, social and sustainable transformation.Universidad de Málaga. Mapa de los espacios tranquilos y seguros para el uso de la bicicleta en la ciudad de Málaga

La expansión de la bicicleta como medio de transporte urbano en la ciudad de Málaga se ha logrado en gran medida gracias a la creación de infraestructuras que permiten conectar puntos estratégicos de la misma. Aun así, el desarrollo de la red de carriles bici no puede cubrir todos los espacios de la ciudad para que puedan ser transitados en bicicleta y este aspecto lastra la posibilidad de que pueda seguir creciendo el uso de la bicicleta como medio de transporte. Frente a este problema, en este trabajo se presenta un estudio realizado en la ciudad de Málaga para cartografiar todos los espacios de la trama urbana que por diferentes razones (comerciales, urbanísticas, arquitectónicas, sociales, etc) no son utilizados masivamente por los ciudadanos y cumplen unos requisitos y condiciones convirtiéndose en zonas de paso rápido y seguro en los desplazamientos de los ciclistas por la ciudad. El mapeo de estos espacios permite conectar más puntos de la ciudad que hasta ahora no se podía utilizando simplemente la red de carriles bici existentes. El mapeo de la red de espacios tranquilos y seguros para la bicicleta se convierte en una herramienta digital útil para ciclistas y ciudadanía al ofrecer información sobre rutas tranquilas y seguras alternativas a la propia del carril bici dentro de la ciudad. Asimismo, resulta un instrumento de valor para la propia administración local ya que le permite conocer las deficiencias y oportunidades que ofrece el entorno urbano como infraestructura para el uso de la bicicleta. A partir de toda la información cartografiada se obtienen algunas conclusiones como la identificación de zonas o barrios mejor conectados (mediante el uso de la bicicleta), discontinuidades o puntos de peligrosidad, indicadores y condiciones urbanas que fomentan el uso de la bicicleta a partir de los que establecer medidas y actuaciones concretas en la ciudad.Proyecto: Espacios Tranquilos y Saludables para la bicicleta de la Catedrá de Tecnologías Emergentes para la Ciudadanía. Materia: Violencia Familiar Nº de Expediente: 00156-2006-0-1801-JR-FT-13. El Expediente versa sobre una demanda por violencia familiar en la modalidad de maltrato psicológico, esto con motivo de la denuncia interpuesta por la cónyuge agraviada; lo cual motivó a que el Ministerio Público interponga la demanda pertinente, amparándose en las conclusiones de la pericia psicológica practicada a la víctima. Materia: Despido Fraudulento y otros Nº de Expediente: 23646-2015-0-1801-JR-LA-08. En el caso de autos se discute la posible existencia de un despido fraudulento, demanda que fue iniciada pese a que al momento del despido se le imputó al actor haber incurrido en faltas graves reguladas por el artículo 25° del Decreto Supremo N° 003-97-TR, sustentadas en los literales a), f) e i) del mismo; no obstante, el demandante sostiene firmemente que las supuestas causas imputadas no son reales y simplemente han sido creadas con el ánimo perverso de fundamentar su retiro de la empresa

El tour de las marinas. De la invención a la regeneración de un paisaje

El tour de las marinas es una aproximación al ámbito de la marina turística desde la reflexión arquitectónica. Un intento de explorar las oportunidades que ofrecen hoy en día los puertos deportivos como nuevos espacios de relación pensados para todos los ciudadanos más allá del equipamiento introvertido y elitista en que se han convertido muchos de ellos hoy en día. La investigación se realiza desde tres escalas. Una mirada general al ámbito internacional para recomponer la historia de la génesis y evolución de las marinas turísticas a partir de los proyectos arquitectónicos y urbanos que han sido referentes y paradigmáticos. Una aproximación territorial que permite hacer una reflexión sobre la situación actual del litoral mediterráneo español y el proceso de transformación de sus costas a través de nuevas lecturas cartográficas, los Portulanos del Turismo. Y finalmente, un acercamiento desde la escala local a varios escenarios náuticos que nos permite explorar las posibilidades de las marinas como piezas capaces de relacionarse con el entorno natural en que se ubican o los tejidos urbanos que las rodean. La tesis concluye con 80 recomendaciones para la mejora de estos equipamientos turísticos y la necesidad de convertirlos en espacios de oportunidad para la recualificación de la costa

The impact of sport tourism in the urban development of the main Spanish cities: a review of their sport and tourism policies

The purpose of this research is to detect and analyze how sports tourism and strategic planning related to sport and tourism have contributed to the urban and territorial development of some Spanish cities such as Granada or Valencia, as well as to a well-known mature tourist destination such as Costa del Sol in the South of Spain. Urban and territorial implications caused by these touristic and sport developments are studied:the type of public spaces that promote the sport activities on the urban space, how sport activities influence the local and visitor population, or their impact on local economies. In order to reach this objective, the paper is divided into two sections: City and Sport vs. Tourism and Sport, and it stablishes a relationship between the three concepts: City, Tourism and Sports. In this way, the urban content of the Strategic Plans and Sports Policies in Spain is reviewed, and it focuses on the cases of Granada and Valencia as the result oftheir innovative sport planning policies. At the same time,the research focuses on the tourism policies and their territorial and urban involvement in the mature tourism destination ofCosta del Sol. The conclusions show a classification of urban spaces and natural coastal environments that promote the informal sport activities on the public outdoor space

Tourist mature destinations as complex spaces: notes about the elaboration process of an atlas of Costa del Sol

This text wants to convey the experience of the process of developing a contemporary tourist atlas. The following will describe the regulations that affect the standardization of cartographic sources in nature, the process of liberation and free acquisition in Europe. On the other hand, describes the treatment processes and spatial information obtained indirectly, and the problems attached. All these spatial databases are treated or processed reinterpreted using GIS software.
